Gerald Davis (UK) he work of Gerald Davis comprises a variety of forms constructed of slabbed, thrown and extruded parts. After the biscuit firing each piece is glazed with a satin earthenware glaze. Stains and oxides are applied to the surface of the unfired glaze using a variety of techniques, but with the airbrush playing a major role. The inspiration for Gerald's work is a combination of a love for the natural world- especially the sea - and a strong affinity to the landscapes, ceramics, architecture and gardens of the Far East.
