Carla Teer (The Netherlands)
Carla is famous because of the minute roosters she makes. The animal figures are built of very thin clay-slabs. They can stand alone or serve as lids on top of a thrown pot. They show characters with a human touch: posh or arrogant males, daydreamers or boasters. This work is made in the pit-fire technique.
